Abstract

I explore how a utilitarian object, the air pump, becomes a speculative tool for rethinking identity. My background in dance and fashion led me to create wearable prototypes that merge tool and character, labour and play. I call this state morphivity – a continuous process where identity and form are never fixed but always shifting. My contribution lies in framing design not as a finished outcome but as an open process of becoming. Through performance, I embody the figure Super Pumper, inviting audiences to experience transformation as both effort and imagination.
