Abstract

My interdisciplinary research investigates the material and structural underpinnings of theatrical production in their divergent off-stage capacities in order to explore representations of unseen labour. This contribution combines examples of written field-note extracts with theoretical text. This writing seeks to explore gaps in the representation of unseen labour through the close study of marginal spaces and practices in large-scale theatre production.
